When the Bathurst Cycling Club become incorporated (which provides community groups with a simple and inexpensive means of becoming a legal entity and helps to protect members in legal transactions) it lodged its constitution with the Department of Fair Trading, and while doing so updated to Model Rules.

The club is affiliated with the UCI through CA and more Specifically CNSW. These Organisations provide the framework for the clubs activities. With the club referring to the CNSW (&UCI) Technical Rules to assist in running competitions and expects members to follow the CA Code of conduct while engaging in club activities

It should be noted that while updating the Club Rules a numbers of specific points where cut from the Constitution, with many well out of date, and others referring to competition which needed to be separated from the Constitution. The problem was some of these Bathurst Cycling Club Regulations remain in use today but any documentation is not really available, as definitions and updates of these Regulations are spread through years of monthly meeting Minutes.  To fix this the Bathurst Club’s Regulation will be slowly transferred to the attached Web Page.

Bathurst Cycling Clubs is very proactive in ensuring that their activities are run in up most safety, the club seeking expertise and permissions from a number of authorities while running there business. Built off the RTA Guidelines, the Bcc has designed at Management Plan for its events that reacts to the specific problems faced by event organisers in the local area, The Management Plan has been moulded into an effective process through via continual review of the clubs activities at a monthly review meeting. These reviews are minuted, which act as an audit trail showing “why we do what we do”.

Bcc TMP is submitted to Bathurst Regional Councils LTC prior to each years events. (and other relevant Authorities)

Much more that reacting to problem after the fact, the Bathurst Cycling Club in recent years is focusing on being more Proactive with members Safety and impact of the community through its activities. This includes meeting regular road users whom are asked to give feedback on cyclist issues they have observed, eg the club working with Transport Company ARC, whom can add issue they observe on the road onto the agenda of the Monthly Review Meeting

Review Meeting Minutes are kept by the Bcc Secretary.

With a well constructed review process the club requires a comprehensive discipline procedure.  The Bathurst Cycling Club will conform with the discipline procedures as set by the State and national Body, however to deal with smaller matters the club uses it Bcc dispute meeting to resolve issues in their early stages.
