Beijing Paralympian Toireasa Gallagher is going to sponsor the Bathurst Cycling Clubs All Women 38km Handicap on Saturday 27th September 08. The promotions is part of the Bathurst Cycling Club 2008 Bike Week Celebrations and hopes to encourage local female cyclists to get more involved in the Bathurst Cycling Scene.

Gallagher whom enjoyed overwhelming support in China, is keen to put something back into the community, and the All Womens Handicap looks an ideal opportunity to redirect some of the hype and enthusiasm she experienced on the bicycle in Beijing back into the local area.

The 38km event will be quite a challenge for all participants as it includes part of the Cow Flat Hill used in the annual B2B, however the Handicap format should provide a nice comfortable, social type atmosphere so cyclists of all levels can be involved.
